Sara has started volunteering within the office at the centre for two afternoons per week. She is currently working towards achieving a Level II Information Technology Qualification based at the centre in partnership with Henley College, Coventry. This is giving her valuable experience for when she wants to go back to work. The project is funded through the European Social Fund and Sara has been able to gain access to pay for her for childcare and clothing as part of her voluntary placement. Sara says “I plan to go back to work when my youngest child starts school so this course will give a wider variety of job options and a better chance of gaining part time employment”.
Volunteering opportunities are available within the following areas Reception, Administration, Catering, Gardening and Children and Youth work. If you would like further information about how you can get involved please pop in or call Kerry on 024 7644 0295.
